I grew up in Reisterstown, Maryland with my parents – Linda and Carl Beaver and my sister – Jennifer Beaver Lamont. After graduating from Franklin High school in 1996, I went on to Virginia Tech and became a lifelong Hokie! I absolutely loved my time at Virginia Tech and even met my husband – Jason, there. I graduated from Virginia Tech in 2000 with my Bacholors degree – double major in Sociology and Political Science. Jason and I married in 2004, adopted our first dog, Bailey, and then I went back to school to earn my Masters of Arts in Teaching from Towson University in 2006. While I was interning at Centennial Lane Elementary in Ellicott City, MD -Howard County, I was hired as the fulltime teacher and have been at Centennial Lane ever since. I taught 5th grade for 8 years and now I am completing my 9th year teaching 3rd grade. I feel very blessed to be able to have a job that I love surrounded by amazing students, families, and co-workers! We have two boys, Drew & Cameron. In 2019 we welcomed our furbaby – Spencer – a black lab who we rescued from Lu’s Labs. We are so blessed to be able to raise our boys in a fun neighborhood with with great friends and great schools.

Jason and I have 2 sons – Drew and Cameron who keep us very busy! Drew has grown up playing sports in Westminster – baseball, soccer, and basketball. I later enrolled in the MAT program at Towson University to pursure this path. I am now finishing my 17th year of teaching at Centennial Lane Elementary in Howard County.
