Hi everyone! My name is Hannah Olexy. I am 25 years Old and I live in Westminster MD and went to Westminster High School. I was born in Rockford IL. I have a learning disability called Turners Syndrome. I was diagnosed at age 10 years old but I have never let that stop me for pursuing my dreams to work with adults with disabilities. Adults with disabilities are like anyone else: they want to be treated as anyone would want to be in their community. I am deeply passionate about working with adults with disabilities! I am a BIG Flyers, Eagles, 76ers, Phillies, and Penn State fan! I like arts and Crafts and I am very good with knowing what to do in the Westminster MD community for fun! I also am very good with finding fun things to do in Pennsylvania. Ask me as I am your girl to do fun things with! I absolutely love spending time with my family and my best friends at Bello Machre and Moonlit Acres Retreat Farm. I also really enjoy my time at my Church, St. Benjamins Lutheran Church. I absolutely love horseback riding and swimming MY NEW FAVORITE is cycling at Downtown Yoga! I can’t recommend it enough as it gets you motivated and feeling good! I love to swim and I was on two swim teams for 7 years competitively: The Westminster Stingrays and Carroll County Piranhas.

Q: What is one of your favorite quotes or lines in a song and why does it resonate with you?
My favorite song is “Here I am” from Spirit: The Stallion Of Cimmeron. The reason why it resonates with me because it’s basically saying look what I have accomplished, look what I have done for the community of Westminster, this is who I am and what I can show the world.

My Advice is do your best, be positive even in the most unpleasant situations, think of others before yourself, be kind, be humble, be gentle, make people smile.
